Book review: Christmas at Mistletoe Cove

5 sparkly snowflakes for Christmas at Mistletoe Cove by Holly Martin
(ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review)

Oh my, oh my, I am late! Blog bugs and unwilling computers have made this blogpost much later than planned! Ah well, I guess that means I get to pretend I am rounding up this book tour?
Which sounds pretty awesome to me!

And it's a good one folks!
I'll always jump on the chance to join one of Holly's blog tours and with good reason. Her stories are always an adventure and this one is no exception!!

We return to Hope Island and I'm sure I've met my favourite couple on there this time.
Dougie and Eden! So many hearts for these two! What a match made in heaven!!

As childhood friends these two are very close. If you've read one of the other books in the series than I'm sure you're already familiar with both characters. If not then let me give you a quick crash course.
Eden and Dougie have been friends forever and Eden has probably been in love with Dougie for just as long. Dougie moved to America as a young boy and visited Hope Island on and off always keen to be reunited with his friend. Their friendship is filled with affection, hugs, kisses and everything couples do except....they're not a couple.

This time Dougie is coming back to Hope Island and he's back for good. Having sold his company in America, he decided to move back to the island. This way he got to work with one of his friends on a new computer game and he was also closer to Eden.

Eden who longs for Dougie so much, and has wished countless times that he'd love her back, has lost all her belief in magic and wishes. Dougie wants to proof to his friend that magic is real and drags her to Mistletoe Cove where Eden has to write down 3 wishes.
The one thing Eden hadn't expected was for Dougie to kiss her right there in the cove and for everything to snowball into the most glorious relationship she coudl've imagined.
But as time progresses she starts to wonder if maybe Dougie's affection for her isn't just caused by one silly wish at midnight. And if that's the case then what does that mean? Does Dougie really love her or is this all just caused by a silly wish?

I have so enjoyed this story! It was something new and wonderful. It felt fresh and I simply couldn't put it down. Out of the different Lancaster siblings I connected with Eden the most. Her relationship with Dougie was so pure.
It was so cute and sweet. The two of them feeling like perfect soulmates and Holly managed to make that come across on paper. It was almost as if the book managed to transfer the feelings onto me.

And of course we find out more about the rest of the Lancaster family which feels like coming back to my own family. And that is definitely something I like a lot about these precious books <3

If you want to pick only one out of three books to read than I suggest you pick this one because it is bloody amazing and I AM SO IN LOVE WITH IT!!!!!!!
